Le Vieux Chai is a typical single-storey house of Île de Ré that has been fully renovated in 2022. It combines the charm of ancient beams with the aesthetics and practicality of modern amenities.
Ideal for a family or 2 couples of friends, this lovely vacation home includes 2 bedrooms (1 master bedroom, 1 bedroom with bunk bed - sleeps 3) and a sofa bed. The accommodation features a flat-screen TV, a washing machine, Wi-Fi connection, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, an oven, a microwave, and a toaster. Towels and bed linen are provided. The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower.
Private Garden and Terrace
You'll also appreciate its fully walled garden. The tiled terrace is perfect for meals in the shade of a large parasol. A barbecue is also available.
Finally, you can store your bikes (a nearly essential mode of transportation on Île de Ré) in the shed at the back of the garden.
Although Le Vieux Chai doesn't offer private parking, several public parking lots are located nearby.

Le Vieux Chai is ideally located in the town center of Sainte-Marie-de-Ré, a village of Ile de Ré, renowned for its tranquility, lovely alleys, stone-cut walls, and beaches.
It is close to shops (bakery, butcher, fishmonger, etc.) and the market place (250m) as well as the nearest beaches (1km).
Cycle paths start 100m from Le Vieux Chai and allow easy access to the other villages on the island without taking the car.
Sainte-Marie-de-Ré is approximately 18 km from La Rochelle train station. Several daily shuttles connect Sainte-Marie to La Rochelle train station.
