Le Vieux Chai

Single storey house typical of Île de Ré. Le Vieux Chai (The Old Cellar) was completely renovated in 2022 and combines the charm of old beams with the aesthetics and practicality of modern equipment.

This attractive holiday house includes 2 bedrooms and a convertible sofa, a flat-screen TV, a washing machine, WiFi and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, microwave and a toaster. Towels and bed linen are provided. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Le Vieux Chai also has a garden entirely enclosed by a stoned wall, a tiled terrace, an outdoor dining area and a barbecue. Finally, you can store your bikes (an almost essential means of transport on the Île de Ré) in the little house at the bottom of the garden.

Le Vieux Chai does not offer private parking spaces but several public car parks are located nearby.

Le Vieux Chai is ideally located in the town center of Sainte-Marie-de-Ré, a village renowned for its tranquility, its narrow streets, its cut stone walls and its beaches.

Le Vieux Chai is close to shops and the market square (250m) and the first beaches (1km).

Cycle paths start 100m from Le Vieux Chai and allow you to easily reach the other villages on the Island without taking the car.

Sainte-Marie-de-Ré is approximately at 18 km from La Rochelle train station. Several daily shuttles connect Sainte-Marie to La Rochelle station
